Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha abused Afghanistan players with offensive local slang during the Tri-Series final at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on September 7. Salman was caught on the stump microphone using offensive local slang directed at Afghanistan players, and the clip went viral on social media.

Afghanistan’s spin bowlers troubled Pakistan’s batting lineup in the summit clash. They restricted the Men in Green to just 141 runs in the first innings. Veteran batter Fakhar Zaman was Pakistan’s top scorer with 27 runs off 26 balls. Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad shared five wickets between them.

However, Salman Ali Agha motivated his team with tactical guidance. Mohammad Nawaz claimed a hat-trick as Pakistan consistently took wickets, eventually winning the match by 75 runs to lift the Tri-Series trophy.
