Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Sanju Samson had a decent outing with the bat in the ongoing game against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match between the two teams is underway at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur in Chandigarh.

Sanju Samson, who has taken the leadership of Rajasthan Royals back after the first three games, looked in glorious touch and played a great supporting hand to Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has been going great guns after having three back-to-back failures.

Sanju Samson, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal, gave a great start to Rajasthan Royals as the duo together added 89 runs for the opening partnership. The keeper-batter hit some magnificent shots in his innings and with the kind of start that he had, it seemed that he would end up playing a big innings.

But his stay at the crease was cut short by Lockie Ferguson in the 11th over. The pacer bowled a 144.2 delivery, full and fast on off stump. Sanju Samson tried to get under it and chipped it over the infield but he didn't get the proper connection as the bat turned on impact.

Sanju Samson ended up hitting it tamely towards Shreyas Iyer at mid-off. The Punjab Kings skipper took a dolly to send his Rajasthan Royals counterpart packing. The keeper-batter was extremely disappointed with his dismissal as he hurled his bat in the air in frustration.
