Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson has come up with a new nickname for teammate Jos Buttler that has garnered attention from teammates and fans. During a post-match talk with the team, Sanju Samson called Jos Buttler as ‘Jos Bhai’ (brother), which brought laughter among Rajasthan Royals team members.

Jos Buttler is among Rajasthan Royals’ high-profile players. The England wicket-keeper has not shown a great batting performance in IPL 2021 so far, managing 25 and 2 runs in two matches. However, he thrilled the audience with 4 consecutive boundaries during Rajasthan Royals’ first match against Punjab Kings.

Sanju Samson Told Jos Buttler ‘Thanks Jos Bhai’

A video was shared by Rajasthan Royals on social media. In the video, Sanju Samson thanked Jos Buttler who helped him to take very good decisions in the match against Delhi Capitals. While referring to Jos Buttler, he called him ‘Jos Bhai’ (brother). The new nickname for Jos Buttler brought laughter among the teammates. Have a look at the video below.

Jos Buttler was promoted as an opener in Rajasthan Royals’ previous game against Delhi Capitals after Ben Stokes injured his finger in the first match and was ruled out of IPL 2021.

However, Buttler could only score 2 runs off 7 balls in the match. In his first match, Buttler scored 25 runs off 13 balls against Punjab Kings. Rajasthan Royals lost the match by 4 runs against Punjab Kings in spite of a century (119) by skipper Sanju Samson. The Rajasthan skipper failed to score 13 runs off 6 balls in the final over and remained 5 runs short of victory.

In the 2nd game against Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals bagged victory by 3 wickets after a spectacular cameo by Chris Morris in the death overs while chasing. Morris smashed 4 sixes in the last two overs to bag victory for his team. David Miller also smashed a half-century (62) in the game.

After 1 victory and 1 defeat in two games so far, Rajasthan Royals are placed on the 5th spot in IPL 2021 points table.  The Sanju Samson-led side will face Chennai Super Kings on April 19 (Monday) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
