Shah Rukh Khan Asks KKR Players TO Emulate Harshit Rana's Flying Kiss Celebration

After the match, Shah Rukh Khan personally met with all the players to congratulate them for their performances in the tournament. The KKR co-owner had a heartfelt moment with young pacer Harshit Rana. Shah Rukh hugged Harshit Rana warmly before revealing his plans for the IPL celebrations.

Shah Rukh Khan revealed to Harshit Rana that he would ask every member of the Kolkata team to emulate his flying-kiss gesture during the trophy photoshoot. True to his words, SRK asked all KKR players and staff members to perform the gesture during their group photoshoot with the IPL trophy.

Harshit Rana pulled off a flying kiss to SunRisers Hyderabad batter Mayank Agarwal after dismissing him. The 22-year-old pacer nearly repeated the gesture against the Delhi Capitals (DC). He was suspended for a game against the Mumbai Indians (MI). Rana admitted that he wouldn't repeat the gesture again.

Played Like Invincibles Throughout The Season - Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer expressed joy with the Kolkata Knight Riders' performance in the final match, describing it as "absolutely comprehensive". The KKR skipper highlighted the team's invincible form throughout the season and praised players for their flawless performances.

"Absolutely comprehensive. This is what we demanded from the team and every individual. They stood up to the right occasion and the feeling is hard to express. It (wait) was so long, longer than the match. We played like invincibles throughout the season. There's so much to cherish right now. It is pleasing, the performance has been flawless throughout," Shreyas Iyer said.

"I am running out of words right now. We have been tremendous from game one, we stepped up today. All we demanded from ourselves was to back each other whatever the situation is. The game could have either way. They have been playing phenomenal cricket  - SRH - throughout the season. We were lucky to bowl first and every situation went in our favor," he added.

Andre Russell (3/19), Mitchell Starc (2/14), and Harshit Rana (2/24) ran through SRH's batting lineup. SRH was restricted to a mere 113 runs, the lowest total in an IPL final. Venkatesh Iyer scored an unbeaten match-winning innings of 52 runs off 26 balls, including 4 fours and 3 sixes, at a strike rate of 200.
