Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) owner Shah Rukh Khan apologized to Aakash Chopra, Parthiv Patel, and Suresh Raina during a recent match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Shah Rukh Khan unintentionally interrupted a live post-match cricket show while taking a victory lap with his children.
The Shreyas Iyer-led team recorded an eight-wicket victory over SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, May 21. The Knight Riders advanced to their fourth final in the tournament. Notably, the KKR team finished at the top of the table after the league stage.
The Kolkata bowlers bundled out the opposition team for 159 runs after losing the toss. Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer helped the team chase down the target in 13.4 overs. Mitchell Starc was named Player of the Match for his bowling performance. Starc took three wickets for 34 runs in his four overs.

After the match, Shah Rukh Khan, his daughter Suhana, and son AbRam greeted the fans with a lap around the stadium. However, their gesture inadvertently interrupted JioCinema's live broadcast show. Shah Rukh accidentally bumped into Suresh Raina and Aakash Chopra during the broadcast.
Shah Rukh Khan immediately apologized to Aakash Chopra, Parthiv Patel, and Suresh Raina, who were discussing the game. Shah Rukh hugged them and then resumed his lap around the stadium. The Bollywood superstar's gesture caught everyone's attention, and the video went viral on social media.

Suresh Raina shared his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan, highlighting Khan's humility and down-to-earth nature despite his superstar status. The former Indian cricketer congratulated KKR on reaching the finals in the IPL 2024 season.

Pat Cummins chose to bat first after winning the toss. SRH lost Travis Head for a duck to Mitchell Starc's bowling in the first over. Rahul Tripathi, who scored a brisk 55 off 35 balls, stitched a 62-run partnership with Heinrich Klaasen for the fifth wicket. Pat Cummins helped Hyderabad reach just over 150 runs.
The two-time champions lost two openers within the first seven overs. However, Venkatesh Iyer and captain Shreyas Iyer's unbeaten 97-run stand for the third wicket turned the tide. Venkatesh and Shreyas scored half-centuries each to chase down 160 runs with 38 balls remaining in the knockout match.
