Watch: Shah Rukh Khan shares special moment with CSK fans during KKR’s IPL 2024 victory lap in Chennai

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner and iconic Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan was in attendance along with his kids in most of his team’s matches in the recently concluded IPL 2024, but the final was different in Chennai, where he won hearts for his beautiful gesture.

The final of the IPL 2024 was played between the KKR and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday, May 26 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where a large number of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans were present and cheering for the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Yellow Army.

The one-sided encounter saw KKR deliver a dominant performance across all departments to beat SRH by eight wickets to secure their third IPL title. After KKR’s first title triumph in the last decade, KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan joined his team on the pitch for a victory lap, captivating the crowd with his presence at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

As King Khan waved to the crowd in Chennai, he found out a section of fans were chanting "CSK...CSK...CSK.". In a heartwarming and humble gesture, the Bollywood superstar stopped in front of these fans and acknowledged their support. This moment was captured by a fan and uploaded to the internet, and it quickly went viral across social media platforms.

In the video, SRK can be seen taking a round of the MA Chidambaram Stadium, accompanied by his wife Gauri Khan, and their children Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam. Bollywood actresses Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor also joined them for a victory lap in Chennai.

Upon hearing the CSK chants, the KKR co-owner made an unpredictable move by joining the fans in cheering for the five-time IPL champions. Shah Rukh Khan is known for his down-to-earth personality, and he once again proved the same, as he pointed to his heart to express his admiration and mutual respect for the CSK.

His heartfelt gesture received a resounding round of applause from the crowd, as they appreciated SRK’s sportsmanship and respect. The moment added a special touch to KKR's title win and showed what truly makes the IPL a celebration of cricket.  Well, SRK’s ability to engage with fans and show respect for the opposition further bolstered his stature as a beloved figure in both the cricket and entertainment worlds.

Earlier, a video went viral on social media where SRK's daughter Suhana was seen being emotional after KKR won the final, and she asked his father, "Are you happy?" and hugged him. Her brothers, Aryan and AbRam, joined them as well. Notably, Sunhana was seen in the stands supporting KKR throughout their IPL 2024 campaign.

Notably, it was KKR's third IPL title win. The Kolkata-based franchise previously lifted the trophy in 2012 and 2014 under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir, and now his return as a mentor has also won them another cup.
