India’s limited-overs captain for the Sri Lanka tour, Shikhar Dhawan, was at his animated best as he took the field for the coin toss in the final ODI of the three-match series between India and Sri Lanka. The India National Cricket Team will take on the Lankans in the final ODI of the three-match series at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The Men in Blue have already clinched the series after winning the first couple of ODIs in the series in a comprehensive manner. While the Indian team won the first ODI by 7 wickets, the visitors won the second ODI by 3 wickets as Deepak Chahar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar finished an enthralling chase for the hosts.

So far, the Indian skipper Shikhar Dhawan has been unlucky in the series as he had lost the toss on both the previous occasions. Both times, the visitors won the toss and elected to bat first. However, both the times, the Indian bowlers did a fantastic job in restricting the opposition to a low total and hence, the visitors won the couple of ODIs.

However, in the final ODI, the tables tunred and Shikhar Dhawan finally managed to win the toss and Dhawan couldn’t control his emotions as he did the thigh-five after winning the toss and left everyone in splits. Dhawan usually does the thigh five celebration every time he catches an opposition batsman on the field.

Team India Make 6 Changes In The Final ODI, 5 Players Make Their Debut

The senior Indian team is currently in England, preparing for a five-match Test series against the hosts which is all set to take place from August 04. Thus, the BCCI had to send a second-string squad to the Lankan island and Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan made their ODI debuts in the first couple of games.

However, in the final ODI, the team management went ahead with 6 changes in total with a total of 5 players making their senior ODI debut in the game. The debutatnts include Chetan Sakariya, Sanju Samson, Nitish Rana, Krishnappa Gowtham, and Rahul Chahar. Navdeep Saini was the 6th change among the debutants.,
