India got a wicket out of nowhere in the ongoing T20I match against the West Indies cricket team at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. The wicket was due to lazy running between the wickets.
Shimron Hetmyer looked not happy as he had to walk back into the pavilion after facing only 2 balls and scoring only 5 runs. Shimron Hetmyer could be a massive threat for the Indian cricket team, but his innings came abruptly short tonight.
Shimron Hetmyer dismissed in a controversial run out in IND vs WI 1st T20I
On the second delivery of the sixth over of the first innings, Shai Hope and his batting partner Rovman Powell decided to steal a run on a misfield. The ball deflected off Axar Patel's left hand as he dived and pushed it to cover.
Captain Shreyas Iyer was near Patel, who quickly collected the ball and threw it to the keeper,r Sanju Samson. Samson took the bails off with the ball in his gloves. The batter made a diving effort to make himself safe. But while his body was on the ground, the toe end of the bat was in the air. Therefore, the umpire made the right decision to declare Shimron Hetmyer run out.

There was no secdon opinion that Hetmyer's toe end of the bat was in the air while Sanju Samson was collecting the throw from Shreyas Iyer. The moment Sanson hit the stumps made the scene more interesting. At the very moment when Samson taking off the bails, were the gloves of the batter inside the crease, touching the ground? The question remains. Shimron Hetmyer went straightway to the field umpire to raise his point, but the umpire was convinced enough to
