Rajasthan Royals batter Shimron Hetmyer came up with a brilliant effort on the field during the ongoing game against Gujarat Titans. The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash between the two teams is taking place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Shimron Hetmyer, who was under the scanner for dropping the catch earlier, made sure that he cashed in on the opportunity for the second time when it came, even if it meant risking an injury. The Rajasthan Royals pacer was about to have a horrific collision with Yudhvir Singh Charak, but thankfully, nothing serious happened.

On the 4th ball of the 19th over, Sandeep Sharma bowled a pace-off delivery wide of off from a short length. Washington Sundar miscued the loft as he managed it, hitting off the bottom part of the bat. Shimron Hetmyer came in running from deep extra cover.

It was almost certain that it was his catch but Yudhvir Singh Charak also ran back from wide mid-off. It distracted Shimron Hetmyer, but he kept his eyes on the ball till the end and completed a fine catch diving forward to dismiss Washington Sundar for a low score.

Thankfully for Rajasthan Royals, Shimron Hetmyer and Yudhvir Singh Charak, two fielders, despite converging, missed a collision but also went on to take the catch.

Washington Sundar played some magnificent shots in his innings, but couldn't carry on the start that he had. The Gujarat Titans all-rounder slammed 13 runs off 8 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 163 and also hit one six during his stay at the crease.

Gujarat Titans had a fantastic outing with the bat against Rajasthan Royals. Asked to bat, Sai Sudharsan (39) and Shubman Gill (84) took their team off to a flying start with the bat. The duo added 93 runs for the opening partnership. After that, Jos Buttler (50*), who walked out at three, also slammed a brutal fifty.

Thanks to the brilliant contributions from top order, Gujarat Titans posted a total of 209 runs for the board. For Rajasthan Royals, Maheesh Theekshana picked two wickets while Jofra Archer also bagged one scalp in the game along with Sandeep Sharma.

This will be a must-win encounter for Rajasthan Royals as a loss here will almost eliminate them from the tournament. Shimron Hetmyer will be holding the key for his team in the game and would want to take them home.
