India’s T20 World Cup 2024 heroes Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, Shivam Dube, and Arshdeep Singh recently appeared on the second season of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. On the show, Rohit has sarcastically pulled the leg of Dube.
In a fun and light-hearted moment on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show, Dube was to pick his favorite captain between MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma as he played under both the captains for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL and the Indian Cricket Team.
Rohit Sharma hilariously teases Shivam Dube over his favorite captain question
As the host Kapil Sharma asked him which captain he loved the most between Dhoni and Rohit, the stage instantly filled with laughter. The Indian cricket team captain was quick to react to the question, jokingly saying, "Fans gaya ye!" (He's trapped!), as the question put Shivam in a tough position.
Meanwhile, Suryakumar chimed in, calling it a "very difficult question." Caught in the middle of this playful banter, the Indian all-rounder responded tactfully, as Shivam Dube credited his father for bringing him into cricket when he was asked how he chose the game as his profession.
Well, Shivam handled the tricky question with grace, saying that whoever he was playing with at that moment was the best.
He said: “I feel that whoever I'm playing with, whether it's Chennai or the Indian team, he's the best for me at that time. When I am playing for Chennai, MS Dhoni is the best; when I am playing for India, Rohit Sharma is the best.”
Rohit Sharma, clearly amused by Shivam’s diplomatic answer, quipped, "I think he had thought of the answer a few days back." However, the reactions of Rohit and Suryakumar to Dube’s answer were just unmissable, and now this light-hearted moment is all over social media.
