India National Cricket Team vice-captain and India A captain Shubman Gill didn't have a great outing with the bat in the ongoing game against India B in the Duleep Trophy 2024. The match between the two teams is underway at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

After India A ended the innings of opposition for 321 runs, they were off to a decent start with the bat. Skipper Shubman Gill along with Mayank Agarwal played some gorgeous drives and made sure that they put pressure on opposition right from the start.

Gill in particular looked in great touch and it seemed that he would stay there for a long. However, that wasn't the case as he couldn't carry on the start that he got and got out on the stroke of the Lunch on Day 2 of the ongoing game between India A and India B.

It's fair that Gill had only himself to blame with the way he got out. The young batter couldn't judge the line of the ball as it was a brain fade moment for him as pacer Navdeep Saini looked extremely delighted with the way he got the batter out.

Navdeep Saini bowled a length ball that nipped back in sharply and Gill didn't offer a shot. The batter left the ball alone and it rattled the off-stump. The India A skipper looked extremely dejected with the way he got out and walked back with his head down.

Shubman Gill slams 25 runs off 43 balls

Shubman Gill slammed 25 runs off 43 balls and also slammed three boundaries in his innings. He would be keen to make an impact in the next innings and the spotlight will be on him too. He is expected to be part of the Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team along with the New Zealand and Australia series.

Shubman Gill has been the vital cog for the team in the Test side. He has been allotted the No.3 spot in the team and was brilliant in the last Test series that he played against England National Cricket Team. The right-hander slammed over 400 runs and helped the team win the series.

After removing Shubman Gill, Navdeep Saini made sure that he chipped in again for his team. The fast bowler went on to remove Mayank Agarwal as well and made sure that his team got two quick wickets and got to the top of the game in Bengaluru.

Navdeep Saini bowled a delivery on a length that angles down the leg side. Mayank Agarwal tried to tuck it away and got a faint edge through to the keeper as Rishabh Pant took a brilliant catch diving to his left.

Mayank Agarwal ended with an innings of 36 runs off 45 balls. The right-hander slammed 8 boundaries in his innings and with his wicket India A lost their second wicket for 77 runs. The onus will now be on KL Rahul and Riyan Parag to take their team forward.
