Shubman Gill Praised By Indian Dressing Room

India National Cricket Team batter Shubman Gill came up with a mouth-shutting reply to the haters in the ongoing first Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The batter set the stage on fire in the second innings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Shubman Gill, who bagged a duck in the first innings, made sure that he made up for his poor outing earlier on. The young batter came up with a superlative effort with the bat as he slammed a wonderful century and put his team in the winning position on Day 3 of the game.

Shubman Gill walked out to bat at No.3 after India lost skipper Rohit Sharma early. He held the fort for his team while the wickets kept tumbling at the other end. He negotiated the tricky phase pretty well, and once he was in, he made sure he made it count and silenced all his critics with the bat.

Shubman Gill looked pretty solid in the last session of Day 2, but he came up with an even better effort in the morning session on Day 3. The young batter defended the ball pretty well and was gorgeous to the eyes as he played some magnificent drives along with solid lofted shots.

Gill didn't only defend the ball, but he attacked spinners as well and he made sure that he put the bowlers under pressure. He, along with Rishabh Pant (109), took the game away completely from the opposition as the duo together made a mockery of the opposition's bowling and added 167 runs for the 4th wicket.

Gill first slammed a solid half-century and, after that, made sure that he converted it into the ton. He hardly put a foot wrong in his innings and made sure that he ended up getting a Test ton, his 5th in the longest format of the game and 3rd in the last 13 innings.

Gill reached the milestone in 161 balls and made everyone stand and applaud him. Indian dressing room, including skipper Rohit Sharma and head coach Gautam Gambhir, all stood up and gave the young batter a standing ovation for his terrific century in the second innings of the game.

Here's the video:

Shubman Gill ended with the innings of unbeaten 119 runs of 176 balls. He slammed 10 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. His sensational innings with the bat powered India to a total of 287 runs as they took a humongous lead of over 500 runs in the second innings.

Shubman Gill has been pretty solid with the bat for India in Test cricket. After the final of the ICC World Test Championship 2023, he asked the team management to give him the No.3 position. Although he took some innings to understand, but he is now completely in his zone.

His last few scores in Test cricket read: 104(147), 0(9), 91(151), 38(65), 52*(124), 110(150), 0(8) & 119*(176). This was his 12th international hundred and with the way he is going, it's fair to say that the future of Indian batting is in safe hands.
