Ayush Mhatre becomes the youngest player in history for CSK
Speaking at the toss ahead of the commencement of the MI vs CSK clash, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni revealed that they have brought in Ayush Mhatre to the playing XI for the high-voltage match as a replacement for Rahul Tripathi. He said:
"We have to play bold cricket but at the same time the batters have to realise what their strengths are, same with the bowlers - that's what we have been telling the departments.
"The fielding is one area where we haven't taken good catches and need to improve, coming to the other two departments - we need partnerships while batting or bowling. We have one change - Ayush comes in for Tripathi."
With his debut for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the age of 17, Ayush Mhatre became the youngest-ever cricketer to represent the franchise, surpassing Abhinav Mukund.

Mhatre slams 32 runs off 15 balls on IPL debut
Mhatre, who was called for a trial in Chennai in the middle of the season, was acquired by the franchise for INR 30 lakh after Ruturaj Gaikwad got injured.
He walked in to bat in the fourth over of the first innings after the wicket of Rachin Ravindra, and on his second ball, he smashed a four and followed it up with back-to-back sixes off Ashwani Kumar.
The 17-year-old was dismissed by Deepak Chahar on the fifth ball of the 7th over. He tried to smash a short ball but wasn't in good control while playing the pull shot. The ball went towards long-on, where Mitchell Santner took a brilliant catch.
As Mhatre walked back to the hut after scoring 32 runs off 15 balls, with 4 fours and 2 sixes, the Mumbai Indians (MI) superstar Suryakumar Yadav came in running and patted him on the back.
Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad took to Instagram to post a story in which he praised the 17-year-old, stating, “Chubby boy at his best right at the start."
