A ball girl copped a nasty blow while trying to catch Suryakumar Yadav's six during the match between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday (April 5).

The incident took place in the fifth over of the Mumbai Indians innings when Suryakumar Yadav was facing Avesh Khan. On the final ball of the over, the right-arm pacer bowled a back-of-length delivery outside the off stump and Suryakumar Yadav dragged it all the way towards deep square for a maximum.

Even though the Mumbai Indians star had not hit the ball cleanly, he made good enough contact to ensure that the ball landed outside the fence. His shot, however, ended up hitting the ball girl who attempted to catch the ball.

She failed to spot the ball clearly as her hands were nowhere near the ball. The ball went on to hit her on the chest before bouncing away. The ball girl then showed remarkable composure as she walked towards the ball and picked it up before giving it back to the LSG player even after the nasty blow.
