The Indian captain, Suryakumar Yadav, made his intentions very clear, as he denied a customary handshake with Pakistan skipper Salman Agha after both captains were summoned for the coin toss at the Dubai International Stadium.

The India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 match is a highly anticipated match, not because the cricket fans want to witness the two rivals battling with bat and ball, but because this is the occasion to prove one's superiority over the other and to settle scores for the treacherous killings across both nations.

The usual roars from both Indian and Pakistani fans were witnessed at the Dubai International Stadium as the two skippers walked in for the toss. However, despite the spirit of the game being retained, the usual friendship among the players of the two nations has been missing on this occasion.

“I have no doubt the players share the compassion and feeling of the vast majority of the Indian public. The Asia Cup was in limbo for a long period of time, and we were just waiting. We didn’t think we were going to be coming at one stage. But obviously, you know what the government stance is," said ten Doeschate.
