Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) spinner Suyash Sharma cleaned up Josh Inglis with a clever delivery to deepen Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) trouble in the ongoing 37th IPL 2025 match at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.
It was a flat and fast leggie at 103 kph from Suyash Sharma, and Josh Inglis tried to back away to smash it over extra cover but missed it completely as the ball zipped in at pace and found just enough grip to beat his bat and crash into the off-stump.

Inglis had been playing aggressively throughout his stay, but this time he paid off for his risk. The Australian star walked back to the pavilion after scoring 29 runs from 17 balls, including two fours and a six, with PBKS reeling at 112/5 against the RCB in Mullanpur.

In the same over, Suyash Sharma struck again, and this time Marcus Stoinis was his victim. It was a well-flighted googly, which completely fooled Stoinis. The PBKS star stepped forward to play it but missed, and the ball went right through the gap between bat and pad to crash into the stumps.
Stoinis could face only 2 balls for a single run before walking back, leaving Punjab Kings in serious trouble against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the ongoing IPL 2025 in Mullanpur.

RCB’s death-bowling chokes PBKS
Speaking about the first innings, RCB’s death-bowling was exceptional, as Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave away only 28 runs to the Punjab Kings in the final 4 overs, denying them a strong finish.
Punjab started well in the powerplay, with their openers Priyansh Arya (22) and Prabhsimran Singh (33) taking advantage of the early overs, as Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar struggled to find their rhythm with the new ball.
However, RCB’s fortunes changed when Krunal Pandya was introduced early in the attack, and he dismissed both openers in the powerplay to put PBKS under pressure. From there, PBKS’ innings lost direction as RCB spinner Suyash Sharma also picked up two wickets to put them on the back foot. Well, despite a solid start, PBKS managed to post 157/6 on the board against the RCB.

Virat Kohli survives close LBW call; Shreyas Iyer leaves the field unwell
Defending the target, Arshdeep Singh provided a perfect start to the PBKS as he dismissed RCB’s dangerous and in-form Phil Salt for just a single. Arshdeep has now dismissed Salt four times in the last five innings they've faced each other.
A few overs later, Punjab narrowly missed the opportunity to get another big fish in Virat Kohli. Xavier Bartlett bowled a full delivery to Kohli, straight on middle-leg, and there was a loud LBW appeal from PBKS. Kohli played around it, and the ball hit his front pad below the knee-roll. The umpire turned down the appeal.
But Iyer went for DRS, and Hawkeye confirmed it was missing the leg stump, and PBKS lost the review. Later, Iyer left the field after reportedly feeling unwell, handing over the captaincy duties to Marcus Stoinis for the match against the RCB in Mullanpur.
