Punjab Kings are in deep trouble in the ongoing first qualifier against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
RCB captain Rajat Patidar opted to bowl first after winning the toss and his decision has been fully backed by the bowlers. At the end of the 10th over, PBKS were reeling at 76/7 and even the 100-run mark was looking tough at the time of writing this report.

Yash Dayal gave RCB the first breakthrough by dismissing Priyansh Arya in the second over before Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed Prabhsimran in the third over. Even captain Shreyas Iyer could not lead his team from the front as Josh Hazlewood dismissed him for just 2 runs in the fourth over.
Even before the powerplay came to an end, PBKS also lost the wicket of Josh Inglis. In the 7th over, Dayal struck again to dismiss in-form Nehal Wadhera and reduced PBKS to 50/5.
Suyash Sharma takes a shot at the PBKS dug out:
At the end of the 8th over, when PBKS were reeling at 59/5, Patidar decided to introduce spin into the attack. He handed the ball to Suyash Sharma, and the young leg-spinner put RCB in the driver's seat by taking three wickets in quick succession.
In his very first over, he picked up two wickets while conceding just two runs. On the second ball of the over, Suyash Sharma castled Shashank Singh with a wrong 'un before sending back Musheer Khan on the fifth ball.
In his second over, Suyash Sharma all but ended PBKS' slim hopes of posting a big total by dismissing Marcus Stoinis as well. Just like Shashank, Stoinis also went for a big shot but was outfoxed by the wrong 'un.
While Suyash picked up three wickets in no time, what has caught everyone's attention is his celebration. Every time he picked up a wicket, the RCB spinner turned towards the PBKS dugout to send out a message. He was seen tapping his chest before pointing his finger towards the ground as if he was saying, 'I am here to stay'.
