India National Cricket Team had a terrific outing with the ball in the ongoing game against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The first T20I of The three-match series between the teams is taking place at the New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.
Indian bowlers were all over the Bangladesh batters in the first T20I. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side kept chipping with the wickets right from the start and put the opposition under pressure. Things didn't go the visitors' way at all, as they couldn't get going at all.
To worsen the case for them, they even lost Taskin Ahmed to a run-out. It happened during the 18th over when Hardik Pandya was bowling to Mehidy Hasan Miraz. The all-rounder bowled a slower ball outside off, to which the batter swiped through square leg.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz kept running for the second but Taskin Ahmed wasn't interested. But he was already out and had to sacrifice his wicket. Arshdeep Singh gave a decent throw to the bowler, and Hardik Pandya completed the formalities to send the batter packing.
Taskin Ahmed couldn't score big as he was back in the hut after scoring 12 runs off 13 balls. With his wicket, Bangladesh National Cricket Team lost their 8th wicket and were under pressure, reeling at 116/8 inside 18 overs.
India restrict Bangladesh to 127 in the first T20I against Bangladesh
India bowlers had a sensational outing as every bowler chipped in with wickets. Arshdeep Singh was the star with the ball as he picked two wickets with the ball early on and, after that, ended the innings on high, returning with the figures of 3/14.
After the vital start from Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, who made his comeback to the Indian T20I team, wreaked havoc across the Bangladesh batters in the middle. He also picked three wickets and had a dream outing on his return to the team.
Mayank Yadav, Washington Sundar, and Hardik Pandya picked one wicket each as the India National Cricket Team ended the opposition's innings for just 127 runs on the board. For Bangladesh, no one really could get going, as no one from the team went past the 35-run mark.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the top performer for the Bangladesh National Cricket Team with the bat. The all-rounder remained unbeaten at 35 runs off 32 balls with the help of three boundaries. His innings ensured that the visitors went past the 120-run mark on the board.
India loses Abhishek Sharma early in the chase
India didn't have a great start to their innings as Abhishek Sharma, who looked in good touch, got run out after scoring 16 runs in 7 balls. However, after that, Sanju Samson (29) and Suryakumar Yadav (29) added 40 runs together to take the game away from the opposition. With the way they have batted, they looked like favorites to win.
