It Is More About Finding You Tempo - Shubman Gill
Speaking before the start of play on Day 1, Shubman Gill said that they need to find the right tempo and put pressure on bowlers, particularly on bowling-friendly pitches. Gill said that he got off to a good start in Pune but failed to convert it into a bigger score.
"I think definitely our batting. We have had a few partnerships but unfortunately, we haven't went to carry on to turn it into a very big partnership. I think it is more about finding you tempo, if the bowler is not under pressure on such wickets, it will play in his hands," Gill said, as quoted by CREX.
"It is about trying to get him off his area on such pitches. Definitely got starts in Pune but I wasn't able to convert but hoping to turn it around today. The feeling is good, we have done well here and have happy memories at this venue, so hoping to add more to it," he added.
