Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Tushar Deshpande provided a crucial wicket for his team against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH). Deshpande came up with aggressive celebrations after dismissing the dangerous Travis Head in his first over during the second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.
The Royals opted to field first after winning the toss against SunRisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, March 23. SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma provided an explosive start. Abhishek scored 24 off 11 balls before being dismissed by Maheesh Theekshana.

Tushar Deshpande dismissed Travis Head on the third ball of SunRisers Hyderabad's innings. Deshpande bowled a full and outside-off delivery. It was away from Head’s hitting zone, forcing a mistimed lofted shot. The left-handed batter hit it straight into the hands of Shimron Hetmyer, who was standing at mid-off.
The pacer was visibly pumped up after taking the key wicket of Head. He celebrated aggressively with his teammates while Head walked back to the dressing room.

Tushar Deshpande Has a Good Record Against Travis Head in the IPL
Travis Head scored 67 runs off 31 balls before being dismissed. The left-handed batter smashed nine boundaries and three sixes during his stay at the crease. Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 130 runs in 9.3 overs when they lost the second wicket.
Head also reached the milestone of 4,000 T20 runs during his innings. The left-handed batter required 64 runs to achieve this landmark.
Tushar Deshpande has a good record against Travis Head in the IPL. Deshpande has dismissed Head twice in their three encounters while conceding 19 runs off 9 balls. Head has scored at a strike rate of 211.11, but Deshpande managed to dismiss at an average of 9.50.

As of writing, SRH are placed at 202/3 after 14.2 overs. Maheesh Theekshana picked up his second wicket of the match. Theekshana removed Nitish Kumar Reddy, who scored a quick 30 runs off 15 balls with four boundaries and one six. Wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen joined Ishan Kishan (70) at the crease.
