A strange and unexpected incident took place on Tuesday night (April 22) during the 12th match of PSL 2025 between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The center of the scary incident was Ubaid Shah and Usman Khan.
The 19-year-old fast bowler, Ubaid Shah, grabbed the spotlight not just for his impressive bowling skills but also for a shocking moment during his celebration in Multan. The incident happened in the 15th over of Lahore Qalandars’ chase against Multan Sultans.
Ubaid Shah’s Joy turns painful for Usman Khan in a strange PSL 2025 incident
England batter Sam Billings was batting brilliantly, and he had already smashed Ubaid for two big sixes in the same over. But Ubaid got his revenge by dismissing Billings on the very last ball of the over.
Multan Sultans' pacer was overjoyed by removing dangerous Billings, and he celebrated his wicket with full energy. However, in the heat of the moment, things went too far.
While celebrating the wicket, Ubaid aggressively turned toward his teammate Usman Khan and accidentally slapped him hard on the head.
Usman, who was only wearing a cap and not a helmet, was caught off guard and went down immediately. He looked dazed for a moment, which worried both fans and players on the field.
The physio rushed in to check on Usman Khan, and thankfully, he was declared fit to continue after a quick medical checkup. Usman gave a thumbs-up, which calmed everyone down, but it was clear that the wicketkeeper-batter wasn’t happy with what had just happened.
The awkward moment was captured on camera, and the video quickly went viral on social media. The viral video showed some of Ubaid’s teammates laughing off the bizarre incident, while Usman looked visibly angry and upset. His frustration with Ubaid was clear after the incident.

Ubaid Shah and Usman Khan shine as Multan Sultans outclass Lahore in high-scoring PSL 2025 clash
Meanwhile, in a high-scoring thriller at Multan, Ubaid Shah stood out as Multan Sultans’ best bowler. Despite the chaos from his wild celebration, the young pacer delivered an impressive spell, taking 3 wickets for 37 runs in his 4 overs.
His performance played a key role in slowing down Lahore Qalandars, who were chasing a massive target of 229 runs in the PSL 2025 clash. Ubaid got solid support from Michael Bracewell and Usama Mir, who picked up two wickets each.
Their combined effort helped Multan restrict Lahore to 195/9, as the hosts won the PSL 2025 clash by 33 runs on Tuesday. Sikandar Raza was the top run scorer for Lahore in the match, scoring 50 not out from just 27 balls, hitting five fours and three sixes, while Billings hit a quickfire 43 off just 23 balls, including two boundaries and four towering sixes.
But their efforts were not enough. Earlier in the match, Multan Sultans opener Usman Khan smashed a blazing 87 off only 44 balls, hitting six fours and six sixes. And Captain Mohammad Rizwan made 32, and another quick 39 from Johnson Charles and Iftikhar Ahmed’s unbeaten 40 from just 18 balls to take Multan to a dominant score.
