A heartwarming moment between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma during the ICC T20 World Cup victory parade in Mumbai has been going viral on social media, thanks to Suryakumar Yadav. Actually, the moment was unexpectedly captured by Suryakumar during the team's victory parade in Mumbai.
The unseen footage, captured by Suryakumar’s selfie camera, reveals the backstory behind Kohli and Rohit’s iconic image of lifting the T20 World Cup trophy together on the top of the open-top bus during the victory parade in Mumbai on July 4.

In the short clip shared by the Mumbai Indians (MI) on social media, Kohli can be seen walking to the back of the open-top bus, where Rohit was seated, as lakhs of fans were on the streets to cheer for the Men in Blue on winning the T20 World Cup 2024.
With enthusiasm, Kohli urged the India captain to join him for a special celebration. Suryakumar, who was busy adjusting his camera, also glanced over as the dashing right-hander repeatedly encouraged Rohit to come up with him to pose for the iconic picture with the T20 World Cup trophy.
Initially, Rohit denied it, but he eventually agreed. Kohli then took his hand and led him to the front of the bus, proudly holding the Indian flag in his other hand, with the candid moment highlighting the camaraderie and mutual respect between two of India's cricketing giants.
Well, then Kohli and Rohit lifted the T20 World Cup trophy on air with a massive crowd in the background as they posed for one of the most iconic pictures of their historic triumph. Sharing the clip, the Mumbai Indians (MI) wrote in the caption, “A close-up view of that iconic Ro-Ko image.”

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have both announced their retirement from T20I cricket after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados on June 29. After announcing his retirement from T20Is, Rohit hailed India's 2024 T20 World Cup victory as the biggest achievement of his career.

Rohit played a key role in India’s historic title win, amassing 257 runs at a strike rate of 156.70 and providing India with explosive starts, including crucial fifties against Australia and England.
However, Kohli failed to replicate his IPL 2024 form in the meg event but played a match-defining knock of 75 runs in the final, where India defeated South Africa by 7 runs to lift the prestigious cup.
Kohli, who earned him the Man of the Match award for his remarkable innings in the final, finished his T20I career as India's second-highest run-scorer, with 4,188 runs in 125 matches at an average of 48.69 and a strike rate of 137.04.
Additionally, he remains the highest run scorer in men's T20 World Cups, amassing 1,292 runs in 33 innings across 35 matches from 2012 to 2024. Apart from Kohli-Rohit, Ravindra Jadeja also retired from T20I cricket after the mega event.
