Marnus Labuschagne Is A Pretty Tough Character – Usman Khawaja

During the drinks break on Fox Cricket, Usman Khawaja expressed concern about Marnus Labuschagne’s injury, stating it didn’t look good. Despite Labuschagne being a tough character, Khawaja admitted to feeling worried when he saw him take his glove off.

“It didn’t look pretty. Marnus is a pretty tough character. When he takes his glove off, I get a little bit worried, because he’s a pretty tough guy. But I think he was alright. It might have been a TV work there.” Khawaja told Fox Cricket.

“A but like your catch a little bit earlier,” Isa Guha said.

“Why would you take me down like that?” Khawaja replied.

The extent of Marnus’ injury remains undisclosed, and it is unclear if he will be available for the Boxing Day Test at the MCG. In the event of his unavailability, West Australian all-rounder Cameron Green is considered a probable replacement in the upcoming Test.

Earlier, Pakistan was bowled out for 271, trailing Australia by 216 runs in the first innings. Nathan Lyon was the standout bowler for the hosts, taking three wickets for 66 runs. The spinner completed 499 Test wickets and needs to wait some time to join the elite list.
