Virat Kohli was in absolute disbelief as a decision went against Team India in the ongoing second Test against Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
The incident took place in the 34th over when Akash Deep was bowling to left-handed batsman Mominul Haque. Earlier in the game, the right-arm pacer had given India the first breakthrough. He first dismissed opener Zakir Hasan for a 24-ball duck. Later, Akash Deep dismissed the other Bangladesh opener as well, sending back Shadman Islam for 24 to leave the tourists reeling at 29 for 2.
And in the 34th over of the innings, he came agonizingly close to picking up his third wicket before being denied by the DRS. On the fifth ball of the over, Akash Deep bowled a full delivery on the pads and Mominul went for a flick shot.
However, the Bangladesh batsman could not connect with the ball and was hit on the pad. The Indian players went up in unison, appealing for an LBW only to see the umpire give his decision in the batsman's favor. Captain Rohit Sharma then consulted his teammates before going for the review.
Virat Kohli and his teammates were looking at the giant screen as the third umpire was looking at the replays. There was no inside edge as the UltraEdge showed a flat line. While it must have raised the Indian players' hopes, they were soon left disappointed as the replays showed that the ball pitched just outside the leg stump.
And as the replays confirmed that the ball landed outside the leg stump, Virat Kohli could not believe his eyes. He was in total shock, making it clear that he was not at all expecting it to happen.

Talking about the game, Bangladesh were on 107/3 after 35 overs at the time of writing this report. The opening day of the Test has been marred by rain and both the teams will be hoping that rain stays away for the next four days.
India are currently leading the two-match series after winning the first Test in Chennai. The Rohit Sharma-led side thrashed Bangladesh by 280 runs in the series opener to take an unassailable lead.
