Rahul Dravid ultimately helped the Indian team to win an ICC trophy as Team India crushed South Africa in a nail-biting encounter in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final. India defeated South Africa by 7 runs in a nail-biting final to grab their second T20 World Cup title.

After the victory, Indian players celebrated their victory with coach Rahul Dravid, who was the mentor behind them. Notably, Rahul Dravid led the Indian team that failed to win the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in November last year.

They won all the matches in the tournament and were the most dominating side in the season. However, they lost the final to Australia by 6 wickets.

It was a big shock for players and a surprise for fans as India failed to defeat Australia on their home soil, despite defeating them once earlier. However, the Men-in-Blue made a fabulous comeback in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. 

This time, the Rohit Sharma-led side did not leave any stone unturned to win the trophy. Once again, they were unbeaten in the tournament and crushed every other team since the start.

After the match, Indian players celebrated their victory with coach Rahul Dravid. They lifted him in their hands and threw him in the air. The video of the moment went viral on social media. Have a look at the video below. 

Notably, ICC T20 World Cup 2024 was Rahul Dravid's last campaign for India as the head coach. He will leave the role after the tournament. Hence, Indian players were keen to provide him with an amazing farewell and did that in the end. 

India won all the games in ICC T20 World Cup 2024

Notably, Rohit Sharma & Co. was the most dominating side in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. During the group stage, they were part of Group A and topped the points table. They defeated Ireland in their first match by 8 wickets. 

They crushed Pakistan by 6 runs in their next match. They also defeated the United States by 7 wickets but their last match against Canada was washed out due to rain. 

In the Super 8, they also won three back-to-back games against Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Australia to seal their place in the semi-final. In the final, they crushed South Africa by 7 wickets to steal an ICC trophy after 2013. Hence, India finished as the only unbeatable side in the tournament.
