PC: X

Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill didn't have a great outing with the bat in the ongoing game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is hosting the game between the two teams.

Shubman Gill, who opened the innings for Gujarat Titans, looked in decent touch with the bat as he played some gorgeous shots. The captain also hit a six against Bhuvneshwar Kumar and it seemed that he would carry on the start that he got but that wasn't the case.

On the next ball after hitting the six, Shubman Gill was back in the hut. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a full but went just a touch wider outside off. The ball nipped away as the Gujarat Titans skipper attempted to hit another six.

Shubman Gill tried hitting the six down the ground but he got a thick edge and it lobbed in front of the deep backward point where Liam Livingstone was stationed. England played came in running and put in his dive to perfection to take a brilliant catch.

The entire RCB was pumped up after Shubman Gill got out. Virat Kohli, in particular, looked extremely joyous as he came up with the aggressive celebration.

Gujarat Titans wins by 8 wickets

Earlier, Gujarat Titans had a decent outing with the ball as they didn't let Royal Challengers Bengaluru batters settle at all. Mohammed was all over the opposition with his brilliant new ball bowling and also bowled terrificly in the death as well.

Sai Kishore also chipped in brilliantly as he picked two wickets, helping Gujarat Titans restrict Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a total of 169 runs. The Shubman Gill-led side then chased the target with ease with Jos Buttler (73*), Sai Sudharsan (49) and Sherfane Rutherford (30*) playing vital hands.

I felt I was confident enough to bowl it in this IPL so I went with my instinct - Sai Kishore

Sai Kishore, after the first innings, talked about his spell, saying that he has been practising hard and was confident coming into the IPL. Speaking to broadcasters, he said:

"I felt when you bowl into the wicket, it was assisting the spinners, but you never know until both teams bowl on it. What I mean by that is getting good shape on the ball and bowling like a proper red ball game. To be relevant in T20 cricket, you have to keep evolving.

"Over the last 3-4 years I have been practising that ball but haven't bowled it anywhere (the one which dismissed Krunal). But I felt I was confident enough to bowl it in this IPL so I went with my instinct. It's like a carrom ball. I get more dip on it. I don't know what it is so I can call it anything."
