Speaking about the ongoing three-match Test series, New Zealand recorded a historic win in Bengaluru, marking their first Test victory on Indian soil in over three decades.

Under the captaincy of Tom Latham, New Zealand clinched an emphatic eight-wicket win in the first Test against India in Bengaluru, which was only their third-ever Test win in India since their first tour in 1955.

The ongoing Test series took an even more dramatic turn in Pune, where the Kiwi bowlers tightened their grip on the second Test. India found themselves bowled out for a mere 156 in their first inning, as Mitchell Santner put on a spinning masterclass, claiming an impressive 7/53.

Santner’s relentless spin attack left the renowned Indian batting order in tatters, setting up a solid foundation for New Zealand, who had already scored 259 runs in their first inning. With a significant 103-run lead, New Zealand firmly took control.

Later in the second inning, Latham led the batting charge on Day 2 with his stunning knock of 86, as New Zealand ended the day at 198/5 against India. They now have a lead of more than 300 runs, and they can bring an end to India's remarkable 18-series winning streak at home in Pune.
