Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni have been the two pillars of Indian cricket in the last decade and a half. The bromance between the former Indian skipper and the current skipper is hidden to none and fans eagerly wait for such moments, especially after Dhoni’s retirement from international cricket last year in August.
Another such mesmerising day arose for all the Indian cricket lovers last night when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) took on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match 35 of IPL 2021. MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli seemed to have a very long discussion ahead of the Southern Derby of IPL as the toss was delayed due to a passing sandstorm in Sharjah.

Chennai Super Kings won the toss in the first match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium of IPL 2021 UAE Leg and they elected to field first. Their opponents from the south, RCB, began the first innings on a high as Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli smashed half-centuries to stitch a century opening stand. However, the RCB innings was derailed after their wickets as they plummeted to 156/6 in their 20 overs.
Coming to the chase, CSK cruised to the target with 6 wickets and 11 balls to spare as they climbed to the top of the IPL 2021 points table. After the match, another heart-warming moment arose between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli when the latter came and hugged the CSK skipper from behind as they were waiting for the post-match presentation.

MS Dhoni Appointed As The Mentor Of Team India For The ICC T20 World Cup 2021
MS Dhoni, the former Indian skipper, has been appointed as the mentor of the Men in Blue ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Notably, Dhoni has had a rich history of winning multiple ICC trophies as the captain of team India as he is the only skipper in world cricket to have won all the three different ICC trophies in terms of ICC T20 World Cup, ICC ODI World Cup, and the ICC Champions Trophy.
The Dhoni and Kohli partnership could once again prove to be fruitful for the India National Cricket Team as they look to get their hands on their first ICC trophy in 7 years. India’s 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup has already been announced and Virat has also made it clear that he will step down as India’s T20 captain after the tournament.
