The match will be a great opportunity for Virat Kohli to regain his form
Kohli has been struggling to get runs in Test cricket. The batter has been averaging in the mid-20s for the last few years, and this has been the biggest spot of bother for the India National Cricket Team. He slammed just 190 runs in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, out of which 100 came in Perth.
The match will be a great opportunity for Kohli to regain his form and get some confidence ahead of the England Tests. Since the last few days, he has been putting in the hard yards and even worked with Sanjay Bangar in Mumbai as he was seen working on his backfoot game.
The thing which stands out for Virat Kohli is wherever he plays whether it’s for the country or for his state, he is involved - Shreevats Goswami
As Kohli got the crowd going at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, former cricketer Shreevats Goswami lauded the batter. He said that the standout thing about the batter is he gets everyone involved, and the intensity is always high. Taking to his Twitter account, he explained:
"Runs may come & go, but the thing which stands out for Kohli is wherever he plays, whether it’s for the country or for his state, he is involved. Stands in slips, claps after a good ball , chats & laughs with his teammate in the slip . The intensity just doesn’t drop. So good to see!"
