India and Australia are currently up against each other in the second Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. After a crushing defeat of 295 runs in the Perth Test, the hosts have made a stunning comeback in the Day-Night Test in Adelaide.
Thanks to Mitchell Starc’s stunning six-wicket haul, the Australian cricket team bowled out India to 180 in the first innings at the Adelaide Oval. Coming to bat, the hosts are looking stable at the moment, and Virat Kohli has already begun the sledging game in the ongoing second Test match and his target was Nathan McSweeney.
Virat Kohli fires back with sledge after Jasprit Bumrah's brilliant delivery in the Adelaide Test
Actually, Australian opener Nathan McSweeney struck a brilliant boundary off Jasprit Bumrah, as India’s premier pacer’s inswinger went wrong. But in the very next ball, Bumrah bowled a perfect delivery to McSweeney, beating him completely, and it pumped Virat Kohli up following the stunning delivery.

The Bumrah delivery was full and angled across, moving away at the last moment, and Nathan McSweeney missed it while trying to defend, as it was almost an unplayable ball, and the Australian opener was not able to steal a single, leading to a sharp sledge from Kohli.
The former Indian skipper is known for his aggressive demeanor and fiery on-field banter apart from his batting exploits. Kohli is someone who never shies away from hiding his emotion as well as giving some sledging treatment to the opposition during India’s matches.
He’s got no clue; he’s got no clue: Kohli to McSweeney
Well, Day 1 of the ongoing Day-Night Test match was not different at all, as the dashing right-hander might have failed to make any impact with the bat, but he was full of energy to boost the Indian bowlers’ confidence after Australia started their first innings confidently in Adelaide.
As Bumrah stunned McSweeney with his beauty, Virat Kohli made the most of the opportunity to get under the skin of the young Australia opener by sledging him. In the viral video on social media, Kohli came close to McSweeney and said, “He’s got no clue; he’s got no clue,” during the third session of the pink ball Test’s opening day at the Adelaide Oval.

Recently, Kohli smashed an unbeaten century in the first Test, and former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri hopes the former skipper will continue his form in the remainder of the Test series in Australia. Shastri was quoted as saying by ICC: “It's very important when you waited that long. You got to visualize exactly what you did. You might not play the same way; the opposition might not bowl to you the same way as they did in that first half an hour.”
He signed off by saying, “But the basic things that you did—going out to the crease, taking your guard, and what you were visualizing and thinking—are very important to make a note of and do the same thing again. Nothing else changes. It doesn't matter if it's [the ball] pink or red or white. But that thought process going in, taking guard and visualizing what you did, should be second nature now. Do it.”
