Virat Kohli returned among the runs in Kanpur
In the Kanpur Test, Kohli looked good with the bat and registered scores of 47 and 29* across two innings. Kohli's form was a huge cause of concern for India coming into this match but he now has some runs under his belt which is a good sign for the upcoming matches.
On the other hand, Mehidy Hasan Miraz also had a good Test match from an individual perspective despite his team losing the match. The offspinner picked up 6 wickets in the match which included a four-wicket haul in the first innings.
India thrash Bangladesh to climb up the WTC ladder
Meanwhile, India thrashed Bangladesh 2-0 in the series and showed why are they so strong in these conditions. The Men in Blue outclassed the visitors in all the departments and did not allow them to take control of the game at any point.
Only once when India were reduced to 144-6 in the first innings of the first Test at Chennai, did India look in some kind of trouble. But from there onwards, it was all about the home team showing their dominance.
In the second Test at Kanpur, India displayed aggressive intent with the bat to make up for the two lost days due to rain. India will not play New Zealand in a three-match Test series at home. The series will begin on October 16.
