Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Virat Kohli was seen having an animated conversation with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pacer Khaleel Ahmed. This incident took place after the Rajat Patidar-led team's victory over the Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday, March 28.

The Royal Challengers secured an emphatic 50-run victory over the Super Kings (CSK) in the eighth match of the IPL 2025 season. This was RCB’s first triumph over CSK at Chepauk in 17 years. Notably, it was CSK’s heaviest home defeat in terms of runs. Several RCB players delivered impactful performances.

Watch: Virat Kohli & Khaleel Ahmed Engage in Animated Discussion After Match

Virat Kohli’s conversation with Khaleel Ahmed after the match caught attention, especially since the two had a tense moment during the game. In a video that has gone viral on social media, Virat Kohli was seen talking to CSK all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja after the match.

Despite Kohli appearing animated, the exchange did not seem too serious, as the Chennai pacer was seen laughing. Fans on X speculated whether Kohli had issued a warning to Khaleel following their on-field face-off during the match.

Virat Kohli Gives a Death Stare to Khaleel Ahmed

Khaleel Ahmed confidently appealed for an LBW decision against Virat Kohli during the match. However, the on-field umpire was unmoved, and Chennai Super Kings challenged the decision.

The review confirmed Kohli was not out, leaving Khaleel disappointed. In response, the pacer bowled a fiery bouncer, which Kohli attempted to pull but missed. This exchange led to an intense stare-down between the two.

Virat struggled to adapt to the sluggish pitch in Chennai, managing only 31 runs off 30 balls before being dismissed by Noor Ahmad.

On the other hand, Khaleel bowled an economical spell, giving away just 28 runs in his four overs. He also claimed the crucial wicket of Jitesh Sharma, who scored 12 runs off six deliveries.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Secure Second Consecutive Victory

After being put in to bat on a dry Chennai pitch, RCB’s batters adopted an aggressive approach, except for Kohli. They posted a formidable total of 196/7. For CSK, Noor Ahmad picked up three wickets, while seasoned spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja struggled to make an impact.

CSK never gained momentum during the run chase. RCB’s bowling attack, led by Josh Hazlewood (3/21), dismantled the batting lineup. The home side was restricted to 146/8.

MS Dhoni arrived at the crease at No. 9 and remained unbeaten on 30* off 16 balls, including two sixes and three fours. However, his knock didn’t have an impact on the outcome, as CSK had already fallen well behind in the contest.
