Kohli and Shastri formed a terrific combo for Team India between 2017 and 2021. The duo’s stint came to a close after the 2021 T20 World Cup in the UAE, where India were knocked out in the group stage. Following the tournament, Shastri’s tenure ended, and Kohli stepped down as T20I captain.
Virat Kohli Scored 43 Runs off 35 Balls in the IPL 2025 Final
Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted a total of 190/9 on the board after being asked to bat first. Virat scored 43 runs off 35 balls, including three boundaries. Lower-order batters Jitesh Sharma (24 off 10 balls) and Romario Shepherd (17 off 7) made decent contributions at the end.
In response, Punjab Kings appeared to be in a strong position to chase down 191 but faltered under pressure. Krunal Pandya delivered a match-winning spell of 2/17. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yash Dayal held their nerve in the death overs to restrict PBKS to 184/7.
The final was played before a crowd of over 90,000. Krunal was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance with the ball. Captain Rajat Patidar credited the bowling unit for pulling off a memorable win in the high-stakes clash.
