Virat Kohli may have been out of action, but he still managed to win millions of hearts with a beautiful gesture at Lord's Cricket Ground. Virat Kohli was seen spending special moments with a specially abled Pakistani fan after India’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 match against Australia at Lord’s on Sunday (June 28).

It was a disappointing day for India at Lord's, but the former Indian captain’s touching interaction with the Pakistani fan once again proved that respect and kindness matter to him as much as success on the field. Now, the clip is all over social media. Recently, Iceland Cricket mocks Gautam Gambhir after Ireland T20I loss.

Virat Kohli's special meeting with Pakistani fan goes viral

Virat had come to Lord's with his wife, Anushka Sharma, to watch India's crucial ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 match against Australia at Lord's Cricket Ground in London. Former India head coach Ravi Shastri was also present at the stadium along with them.

Even the former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan and his wife also made their presence felt during the crucial clash at Lord’s. However, India lost the game and was eliminated from the tournament. Amid this, Ranjit Bajaj makes big fitness claim, '12-13 year olds will outrun Virat Kohli'.

How Virat Kohli turns fan's dream into reality

After the game, Kohli noticed a specially abled Pakistani fan waiting to meet him outside the iconic stadium. The dashing right-handed batter walked over to the fan, spoke to him with a smile, and happily posed for photographs, making his day special.

His dream of meeting one of his biggest cricket heroes finally came true. The video of the meeting went viral across social media. Fans from both India and Pakistan appreciated Kohli's warm gesture, with many saying that cricket is much bigger than rivalry.

Double blow for India!

However, it was a disappointing day for India. The India women’s national cricket team suffered a crushing six-wicket loss to Australia in a must-win match. This defeat ended their journey in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, with Australia and South Africa qualifying for the semifinals from Group A. From Group B, England and the West Indies qualified for the semifinals.

Things became even worse for the men's team. India lost the second and final T20I against Ireland to suffer an embarrassing whitewash before their white-ball tour of England next month.

Ambati Rayudu wants big role for Ishan Kishan after Virat Kohli's return

Meanwhile, former Indian batter Ambati Rayudu believes that Ishan Kishan should bat at number four in India's ODI team once Virat Kohli returns for the three-match ODI series against England starting on July 14. Rayudu feels Kishan is the right choice because he plays both fast bowlers and spinners very well, and this tweak would make India's batting line-up stronger.

Rayudu said on Sony Sports Network, “When it comes to Ishan Kishan, it is great that he is part of the ODI setup, and being a left-hander, he’ll add a lot of value. So, I see him eventually bat at number four. That is an ideal number for him."

"Being a left-hander, he plays spin exceptionally well and also plays pace well. So, he and Shreyas Iyer can have that role of number four and five batters. That will be a very, very formidable number four and five for India going forward.”
