Indian keeper-batsman Sanju Samson’s horror run continued in T20Is as he perished for a duck in the ongoing third T20I against Sri Lanka in Colombo. Sanju Samson had already been under pressure, leading up to the match, managing only seven runs in the second game. On this occasion, the right-handed batsman went without scoring, giving Wanindu Hasaranga his first scalp and got rid of Ruturaj Gaikwad in the final ball of the over for his second.

The dismissals occurred in the fifth over when Wanindu Hasaranga came to bowl his first over. The leggie, who already dismissed Sanju Samson twice in the series, got the better of him for the third time. The Kerala-born batsman missed the quicker delivery from Wanindu Hasaranga completely, with the ball hitting on the backpad. The umpire raised his finger immediately and Samson did not bother reviewing. On the other hand, Gaikwad also perished in the same fashion; however, his attempt at reviewing went in vain.
Below is the dismissal clip of Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad plucked by Wanindu Hasaranga:
