Punjab Kings leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal had a decent start with the ball to his spell in the ongoing game against Kolkata Knight Riders. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.

Yuzvendra Chahal, who was introduced into the attack in the 8th over, didn't take long to make an impact. The leg-spinner removed Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Ajinkya Rahane and kept things tight with the ball in his opening over while defending a low total.

Yuzvendra Chahal, however, on the very next ball, got extremely angry because of the fielding blunder made by Xavier Bartlett. The leg-spinner bowled a slower and fuller delivery on middle and leg to Venkatesh Iyer, who got low to sweep and what was a regulation single to deep backward square leg has turned into 5.

Xavier Bartlett, who was at deep backward square-leg, threw the ball and it slipped out and hit his right shoulder and bounced away past the cushions. Since Bartlett fielded it clean and was in the process of throwing it back, it was counted as four overthrows and a total of 5.

Yuzvendra Chahal returned with the figures of 4/28

Chahal tilted the game in the favour of Punjab Kings after that. The leg-spinner oozed his class with the ball as he picked four wickets in the first three overs that he bowled. He put Kolkata Knight Riders under massive pressure as they were reduced to 79/8.

Chahal returned with the figures of 4/28. He removed Ajinkya Rahane, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Rinku Singh and Ramandeep Singh. His staggering spell with the ball helped Punjab Kings bundle out Kolkata Knight Riders for 95 runs and win the game by 16 runs.

Punjab Kings coach James Hopes talked about the importance of Yuzvendra Chahal, saying that they need to get him more in the game. Speaking to the reporters, he said:

"With our bowling attack, we need to get Yuzi into the game more than we're doing; like he's just struggling to get into the game at the moment," Hopes said a day before PBKS' next fixture, against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Mullanpur. "Like against Chennai, just bowling the one over - a very good over at a significant time, but it's just [about] getting him into the tournament
