India captain Rohit Sharma was at his hilarious best during his interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi after India won the T20 World Cup 2024. The skipper of the team explained his 'pitch-soil eating celebration' in his typical 'Yeh' and 'Woh' style. 

India's team finally ended their ICC title drought as they won the T20 World Cup 2024. It was a dream-like campaign for the Rohit Sharma-led as they played a dominating brand of cricket throughout the entire tournament and almost every individual stepped up at the crucial juncture of the games.

India National Cricket Team won the tournament undefeated. This was for first time in the history of the T20 World Cup that a team won the tournament without losing a single game. The title victory also ended a long 11-year title drought for the team. 

India defeated South Africa in the final at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown at Barbados by 7 runs. For a moment, it seemed that the game would slip away from the Indian team but bowlers led the fightback and made sure that they helped the team snatch the victory from the jaws of defeat to win the second T20 World Cup. 

The victory meant so much for the Indian team as senior players in Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah were in tears. The emotions were pretty high as years of hard work for the team paid off and finally, they had their hands at the trophy. 

It meant so much for skipper Rohit Sharma as he gave his best for the team. Both as a leader as well as the batter, the opening batter was sensational. He made sure that he ticks almost every box right and apart from being the best, he also brought the best out of his team, helping them win. 

Rohit Sharma was extremely emotional after India won the tournament. He punched the ground in jubilation and also was seen in tears. His celebrations after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 brought smiles to the faces of Indian fans as he deserved to win more than anyone.

After India won, Rohit Sharma was also seen eating the soil at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. He was extremely jubilant with the and then later was asked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to explain the gesture and he came up with a typical response. 

Rohit Sharma was heard saying in his typical that the pitch meant so much to him and stated: "Wo pitch mere liye 'Yeh' tha, us pitch pe humne 'Woh' kiya"

Rohit Sharma ended T20 World Cup 2024 as the leading run-getter for India. He scored 257 runs in 8 matches with a strike rate of 156.70 with the best of 92, which came against Australia in the last game of Super 8 stage.
