Former India National Cricket Team player Yusuf Pathan didn't go easy on Monty Panersar in the game between Konark Suryas Odisha and Toyam Hyderabad in the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2024. The game between the teams took place at the Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu on Sunday (6th October).

Yusuf Pathan didn't have a great outing with the bat, but he made sure that he gave it back to Monty Panersar, who sledged him for playing slow. Playing for Konark Suryas Odisha, the former India batter struggled to get going and couldn't score freely.

During the 16th over of the Konark Suryas Odisha innings, Yusuf Pathan didn't look comfortable against Monty Panersar. After the spinner delivered a few dot balls, he decided to get into the ear of the batter, and he sledged him, saying, "Are you playing a Test match?"

This left even commentators in splits, but Yusuf Pathan decided to give it back to the spinner. The batter first gave a cheeky smile and then replied saying: "How many Test wickets do you have?" The fun banter between the two cricketers drew more laughter from the commentators.

Yusuf Pathan scores 7 runs off 18 balls

Yusuf Pathan didn't have a great outing with the bat as he scored 7 runs off 18 balls. His team, Konark Suryas Odisha, didn't have a great outing with the bat either, as they ended up scoring just 100 runs on the board in the 20 overs that they batted.

Dilshan Munaweera was the top run-getter for the team as he slammed a half-century and ended with an innings of 52 runs. For the opposition, Bipul Sharma and R jingad picked two wickets. While Monty Panersar, Nuwan Pradeep, S Shukla, and Stuart Binny picked one wicket each.

Gurkeerat Singh Mann slams terrific half-century to win game for Hyderabad

In the chase, Gurkeerat Singh Mann slammed a terrific half-century and ended with an innings of 52 runs. They lost 6 wickets, but the skipper held the fort for his team and helped his team win the game by 4 wickets and with 10 wickets to spare to bag important points in the tournament.

The win by four wickets was the second win for Hyderabad in 6 matches in the ongoing Legends League Cricket. They jumped to the third spot in the table. Konark, with similar points from as many matches, are second on the points table as they have lost just 2 games in the tournament.

Yusuf Pathan will be next seen in action when Konark Suryas Odisha will lock horns with Gujarat Greats on 12th October. The game will be played at the Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Pathan would be keen to make some runs and take his team to the top of the table.
