At the presentation ceremony, Pakistan women's captain Fatima Sana mentioned that the batting collapse early in the innings did not allow them to recover in the rest of the match. It was Pakistan's call to bat first, so the captain had to explain the reasons behind going to bat first.

Fatima Sana stated that the wicket was fresh, so they wanted to put a good amount of runs on the board, so they elected to bat first after winning the toss. And she had trust in her bowling unit as well.
"We had a collapse in the batting and struggled throughout) the whole innings. [How wise was batting first?] We know that (it was a) fresh wicket, and we just wanted to put up the maximum total. We know we have a good bowling side. [On her three-wicket spell] But still, we lost the match; it doesn’t matter," Fatima Sana said after the match.
"We needed a win, so it doesn't matter. [How crucial is the next match?] We will try to play good cricket there, and in the last match we will try to win and progress to the finals (knockouts)."
