"We Provide 24 Hour Daylight In June, Better Tweets": Iceland Cricket's Savage Dig At ECB On India vs Pakistan Proposal

England Cricket Board (ECB) mentioned on Tuesday that they are willing to host India vs Pakistan Test Series in the UK. ECB Deputy Chair, Martin Darlow made an offer to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) during their 5 T20I match series against Pakistan in Pakistan.

This news made the day for the fans as the World Cricket eagerly waits for this contest. Indian Cricket Team plays Pakistan only in Asia Cup & in ICC events.

The last time India & Pakistan played together in a bilateral series was in 2012 when Men in Green had lost the T20I Series & won the ODI Series. PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja made it quite clear that they are in no mood to play Cricket other than in their home venue.

Iceland Cricket gave its counter-proposal to host the Test Series and was quite spot on. “We hear @ECB_cricket have offered to host a Test series between India and Pakistan. We officially announce to @ICC that we are also offering to do the same & can provide near 24-hour daylight in June and July, as well as better Tweets covering the matches. Sniper security too.”  tweeted Iceland Cricket.

BCCI’s Stance on the proposed Test Series

BCCI made it clear that they are in no mood to play bilateral Test Series with Pakistan. The richest board also said that playing with Pakistan’s decision is not theirs but the Government’s. We all know that a significant part of India & Pakistan is in the UK which was the main reason ECB proposed this bilateral Test Series.

It looks like the World Cricket will have to wait to see the Asian Giants in a bilateral series. Many experts have also said that the rivalry between India & Pakistan can surpass the Ashes. Nevertheless, India & Pakistan are going to clash on 23rd October in ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in the group stage. The contest promises to be an exciting one as India would be looking for revenge of ICC T20 World Cup 2021 edition.
