Cricket West Indies declares a 15-member squad for their upcoming Test series against Pakistan, starting on July 25 and concluding on August 6. The 2-match Test series will be held in Trinidad.
The West Indies vs Pakistan Test series will be a landmark event for the Caribbean national cricket team as the opening game of the bilateral series in the West Indies will be the opening match at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy from July 25-29, the first-ever Test match at the venue.
The 15-member squad was declared by Cricket West Indies for the series against Pakistan
For the landmark Test series, the cricket governing board has named Roston Chase as the skipper with Jomel Warrican as his deputy.

The Caribbean cricket board has retained most of the Test team which defeated Sri Lanka in a Test earlier this month. The team in Maroon defeated the Island nation team by 1-0.
Cricket West Indies remains the core of the team
While the Caribbean cricket board retains most of their core members from the previous squad, the cricket governing body has included a few exciting names who have done a great job in the recent past. Left-arm orthodox spinner Joshua Bishop receives his maiden Test call-up after a stellar domestic cricket season in Windies cricket.
In a press release, the cricket governing body mentions that in domestic cricket, the emerging spinner took 91 wickets for the Barbados Pride and the nation's national cricket Academy across the past three Championship seasons in domestic cricket, which were the best bowling figures produced by any other bowler in the tournament in that time frame.
Kirk McKenzie, an Academy graduate and Jamaica Scorpions batsman, makes his return to the team in place of the injured opener John Campbell, who was ruled out with a left hamstring strain. McKenzie returns to the national cricket side since 2024.
McKenzie was throughout impressive in the West Indies Championship, scoring 323 runs in six innings at an average of 64.60.
Alzarri Joseph will miss the Test series against Pakistan
Among the big names, fast bowler Alzarri Joseph is not in the team, as he was not available for selection. In the absence of Alzarri Joseph, Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales, and Shamar Joseph will have to take extra responsibility to lead the pace bowling attack.
The first match of the two-match Test series will be from July 25 to July 29 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad. The second match is scheduled to be held from August 2 to August 6 at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
