West Indies Playing 11 vs Australia- 5th T20I, Australia tour of West Indies 2025:

Since 2022, things have especially been tough for the former powerhouse of cricket. The worst for yet to come with them becoming the team to score the lowest total in Test cricket.

Due to the above-mentioned reason, the upcoming final T20I against Australia is of utmost importance for the Windies to gain some confidence for the next home series against Pakistan.

The team management has not made a lot of changes, especially in the batting department, with Shai Hope and Brandon King opening the batting for them.

Shai Hope and Brandon King duo is expected to retain their place at the top of the order as both batters have done a decent job both individually and as a pair in most parts of the series, and would like to replicate that in the final outing.

Captain Shai Hope led from the front in the third match with a century but failed to get a big score in the following game, which was one of the reasons why the West Indies fell 20-25 runs short of an above-par score.

King, on the other has been a consistent performer in the series for the West Indies and would want to put on a strong show to sign off what has been a good series for him individually.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Roston Chase, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd, Jason Holder

The middle order is what has been a cause of concern for the Shai Hope-led side in the series so far, and the captain and coach would want a more complete performance from the middle-order batters.

The likes of Roston Chase, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, and Sherfane Rutherford have gotten starts in one match or the other but haven't been able to capitalize on them.

The failure of the middle-order batters has undone the good work of the openers and has resulted in the West Indies being restricted to a below-par total.

Indies batters need to convert starts into big scores for the team to have more than enough runs on the board in good batting conditions.

Bowlers: Gudakesh Motie, Akeal Hosein, Jediah Blades

Like the batters, the Windies bowlers have succeeded in picking wickets in the first six overs, but have found it difficult to stem the flow of runs as well as pick wickets in the middle overs.

Experienced bowlers like Jason Holder and Akeal Hosein have bowled economically in the powerplay, but the former has gone for runs in his second spell and has failed to get breakthroughs at crucial moments for the team.

The duo hasn't got the support from the other end from the likes of Gudakesh Motie and young fast bowler Jediah Blades, who has played only a couple of T20I matches.

The hosts would, for one last time in the series, bank on their bowling lineup to deliver a solid performance to end the series on a high.
