Windies will hope for a better start in the first game of the three-match T20I series against Ireland from the pair of Johnson Charles and Evin Lewis.

The failure of the opening partnership is something that the former World Champions will be mindful of and will look to rectify the same on Thursday (June 12).

Lewis, who got off to a start in the first match against England, was dismissed early in the next two matches and would want to get things right in a new series.

Charles, on the other hand, might not have scored a lot of runs, but looked the most comfortable of the WI batters and would like to prolong his innings.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Shai Hope (c & wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Sherfane Rutherford, Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd

One of the positives for WI in the last game against England was the performance of the middle-order batters after a shaky start while chasing a daunting target.

Former captain Rovman Poewell played a fighting knock of 79 runs to keep West Indies in the hunt and was well supported by Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer.

Along with the trio, all-rounder Jason Holder also flexed his muscles in the end stages of the game.

The WI management would want the batters to carry the form in the three-match T20I series against Ireland.

Bowlers: Gudakesh Motie, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph

The figure of the Windies bowler won't suggest how good the pitch was for batting in the last game against England.

Having said that, the likes of Joseph, Holder, and Shepherd would like to put on a much improved performance against Ireland.

The fast bowling trio will have to pick up wickets in the first six overs to get things going for the spinners in the middle overs.

All three fast bowlers have been expensive in all phases of the innings and haven't been able to create pressure.

As far as the West Indies' spin bowling department is concerned, the duo of Hosein and Motie have been the pick of the bowlers for the Shai Hope-led side.

The management wouldn't be too worried about the performance of the spinners in the third and final game against England and would wish for them to deliver another solid show against Ireland on Thursday.
