West Indies Playing 11 vs Ireland- 3rd T20I, West Indies tour of Ireland 2025:
Openers: Johnson Charles, Evin Lewis
West Indies will continue to open the innings with Johnson Charles, who will be partnered by Evin Lewis at the top of the order in the third and final T20I against Ireland.
The third T20I will be played on Sunday (June 15) at the Bready Cricket Club in Bready.
The pair hasn't been in the greatest of form and delivered some disappointing performances in the white ball series against England, which preceded the ongoing clash.
Lewis was able to get off to a good start in one of the matches but failed to prolong his innings.
As far as his contribution in the next two games is concerned, the opener was below concerning his approach, especially in the first six overs.
Lewis will look to lay a match-winning in the decider against Ireland, as this can be his last opportunity with Brandon King waiting in the wings.
If we talk about Lewis' partner Charles, the experienced batter might not have got as many as he would have wanted, but he looked to take on the opposition bowlers.
The openers will look to get things right in the last outing to show what they both are capable of, especially in the powerplay.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Shai Hope (c & wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Sherfane Rutherford, Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd
The story was no different for West Indies middle-order batters as they looked out of touch, barring the last match of the series, in pursuit of a big score while chasing.
It appeared that the likes of captain Shai Hope, former captain Rovman Powell, and Shimron Hetmyer might guide the team to an emphatic but the target proved to be a bit too much.
The trio will look to keep up the good work they did in the third and final T20I against England and would want the top and the lower middle-order batters to provide good support.
Bowlers: Gudakesh Motie, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph
West Indies would pin their hopes on their bowling department to take the responsibility of restricting the opposition to a below-par total.
The onus will be on the fast bowling trio of Alzarri Joseph, and Jason Holder to pick up wickets in the first six overs of the final T20I against Ireland.
Along with the fast bowler, the spin duo of Akeal Hosein and Gudakesh Motie would also hope to put their hand up and stem the flow of runs in the middle overs.
The former World Cup winners would be desperate to break the string of losses in the shortest format of the game in international cricket.
