When Will Naseem Shah Return To International Cricket? Wahab Riaz Provides Scintillating Update

Pakistan’s new chief selector Wahab Riaz has provided updates on the fitness of key Pakistan pacers like Naseem Shah, Ihsanullah, and Mohammad Hasnain. All three of them are in the recovery process and will take time to be back on the field.
Naseem Shah, Ihsanullah, and Mohammad Hasnain are three crucial pacers for Pakistan. While Naseem Shah is an experienced one and a regular member of the national side, Ihsanullah and Mohammad Hasnain are emerging pacers.
Naseem Shah Will Be Able To Bowl At 50-60% After 3 Weeks: Wahab Riaz
While speaking to the press, Wahan Riaz said that Naseem Shah will be able to bowl 50-60% after 3 weeks. He also added that Ihsanullah is undergoing rehab.
“Naseem Shah will hopefully be able to bowl at 50-60% after 3 weeks. Mohammad Hasnain has started running and sprinting. He started bowling last week but he’ll need two weeks to build up his workload. Ihsanullah continues to undergo rehab,” Cricket Pakistan quoted Wahab Riaz as saying.

Naseem Shah sustained a shoulder injury ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023. His absence also hurt Pakistan’s performance in the tournament. Shah underwent shoulder surgery earlier. Mohammad Hasnain sustained an ankle injury during the Sri Lanka Premier League in August. Ihsanullah is recovering from an ankle injury and has been off the field since April 2023.
Meanwhile, Pakistan is set to take Australia in a three-match Test series next month. During the away tour, Shan Masood will lead the side. He was appointed as Pakistan’s new Test skipper after Babar Azam quit captaincy from all three formats.
