Bangladesh cricketers are reportedly said to fall sick after their ferry journey in the Caribbean ahead of the three-match T20I series against West Indies.
Kraigg Brathwaite-led West Indies side routed Bangladesh 2-0 in the two-Test matches completed on June 27. Both teams travelled from St Lucia to Dominica through a ferry ride for the upcoming T20I series.

The distance between St Lucia and Dominica is approximately 181 km, which takes more than four hours in waterway transportation. Some of the players from the visiting side were strange to such journeys and as a result, they fell sick after reaching the venue.
According to a report by Bangladesh daily newspaper ‘Prothom Alo’, the waves began soon as the ferry reached mid-way through the sea. It wasn’t a large ferry and so, even six-to-seven feet high waves were enough to make the ferry swing wildly.

The report also mentioned that Bangladesh pace bowler Shoriful Islam puked during the ferry journey.
“We are the ones who can fall sick and die here, nothing will happen to them,” one of the sick players was anonymously quoted as saying by Prothom Alo.
“I have toured many countries, this is the first time I am experiencing something like this. None of us are used to this. Forget about playing, what will happen if one of us gets seriously ill in the ferry. This is the worst tour of my life,” another player told the Bengali daily newspaper.
West Indies and Bangladesh are due to play the first T20 International on July 2 (Friday) at Windsor Park, Roseau in Dominica.
