Will Jacks puts down easy chance of Sanju Samson in CSK vs MI clash

The Mumbai Indians have put on a very small score, and hence, they needed to grab onto every opportunity that came their way. However, Will Jacks failed to grab that one, which was probably the easiest chance to win the game.

The Mumbai Indians have managed to put just 159 runs on the board, and the bowling side has failed to defend scores of 240+ in the last game and will now have to defend their lowest of this season to keep their chances of making the playoffs alive.

The Mumbai Indians before this match are ninth on the points table with just two wins from eight matches in this edition of the IPL. Despite some high-scoring performances, their bowlers have failed to impress, and hence, MI have not managed a decent streak in this IPL.

Will Jacks drops a sitter as Sanju Samson gets an early lifeline

Sanju Samson, the centurion from the previous clash between these two teams, was once again a key wicket for the Mumbai Indians, and hence, Jasprit Bumrah was once again unleashed with the new ball against the CSK opener.

Will Jacks, however, dropped a sitter against Sanju Samson off Jasprit Bumrah's bowling as the key pacer's lack of wickets continues. The ball moved around the off; it was of decent bounce to tackle.

However, Samson stood leg-side and fiddled with his bat as it went flying off to the first slip. Jack, in that position, spilled off a simple catch. Bumrah walked away in disappointment with a broad smile on his face.

Bumrah dismissed Sanju Samson off the final over of the ball

After being dropped off his bowling, Sanju went on to score five runs off his bowling on the next three balls and also hit a boundary on the penultimate ball of the over. However, Bumrah, the world-class pacer, once again outclassed his Indian teammate.

He bowled an outswinger outside off, and some extra bounce off the Chepauk surface assists the great paceman as Samson looked to slash hard for a cut while he was caught up within the crease.

Ryan Rickelton leapt to his right and completed the catch, and the most relieved man on the field was Will Jacks, the man next to him in the slips. No big show for Samson as he departs after a well-made 11.
