World Cup Final Closing Ceremony: Full Details Of Airshow, Bollywood Performances Along With Time Revealed

The stage is set for a grand finish to the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. After 47 games and 44 days of exhilarating action, the tournament is set to come to an end with a mouthwatering final between hosts India and Australia who are the most successful side in the history of the competition. The India vs Australia final is scheduled to be played on Sunday (November 19) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated final, the BCCI, on Saturday (November 18), announced the full list of programs that will take place before the game. While there was no opening ceremony for the ongoing World Cup, the BCCI  has made sure to make the final a grand affair.

Before the game, a historic event will take place as the Indian Air Force will do an airshow for the first time in a cricket event. The Suryakiran Indian Air Force airshow will take place after the toss at 1:30 pm IST. It is likely to last for 15 to 20 minutes.

During the first innings drinks break, Gujarati singer Aditya Gadhavi of ‘Gotilo’ fame will perform in front of thousands of fans. After the first innings ends, Bollywood music composer Pritam, singers Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Akasa Joshi, Tushar Joshi, and Amit Mishra will entertain the crowd. During the drinks break in the second innings, there will be a light and laser show.

India and Australia’s march to the World Cup final:

Both India and Australia have booked their place in the World Cup final on the back of a dominant run in the tournament. India have not lost a single game in the tournament and are on a ten-match winning streak. The Indian team will be playing the World Cup for the fourth time and will be hoping to win it for the third time. India have not won the World Cup since 2011.

Australia, on the other hand, began their campaign with two losses including one against India. But the five-time world champions bounced back in style to win seven games on the trot and book a place in the semifinals. In the semifinal, they beat South Africa and are now eyeing a record-extending sixth World Cup title.
