WPL Auction 2024: Kashvee Gautam Bought By Gujarat Giants For INR 2 Crore

Uncapped Indian women’s cricketer Kashvee Gautam will represent the Gujarat Giants (GG) in the second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Kashvee Gautam has been signed by the Gujarat franchise for a staggering INR 2 crore in the ongoing auction.
The Gujarat Giants entered the auction with the highest purse of Rs 5.95 crore among five franchises in the WPL. A total of 165 players are part of the auction scheduled for December 9 in Mumbai. The Gujarat franchise has 11 available slots, including three overseas cricketers.

The Gujarat Giants expressed excitement after successfully winning the bid for Kashvee Gautam in the auction. The franchise acquired Kashvee for a substantial Rs 2 crore, securing her for the next edition of the tournament.

Kashvee, with a base of Rs 10 lakh, sparked a fierce bidding war between the Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz. Both teams showed unwavering interest in securing the all-rounder. After intense competition, Gujarat secured the services of the uncapped player.
The 20-year-old has established herself as a record-holder in women’s cricket. Notably, she achieved a hat-trick for Chandigarh against Arunachal Pradesh in an ODI match during the women’s domestic U19 competition. In the Women’s Senior T20 Trophy 2023, Kashvee took 12 wickets in seven matches with an impressive economy rate of 4.14 runs per over. Additionally, she represented the Indian team in the Hong Kong ACC Emerging Tournament.
