The Allahabad High Court has refused to give much relaxation to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal in connection with serious allegations of sexual exploitation. Yash Dayal moved to the Allahabad High Court with the hope of stopping his arrest in the controversial case.

In a major relief for the RCB fast bowler, the Allahabad High Court has stayed the arrest of Dayal in a case of allegedly sexually exploiting a woman for over 5 years on the pretext of marriage. Dayal escaped from the arrest until the next hearing date.

Yash Dayal gets temporary relief in sexual exploitation case

The High Court granted temporary relief to the RCB bowler by a bench of Justice Siddhartha Varma and Justice Anil Kumar-X. The two-judge bench expressed strong doubts over the nature of the claims by saying, “You could have been fooled for 1 day, 2 days, 3 days…but 5 years…you are entering into a relationship for 5 years…one can't be fooled for 5 years.”

Yash Dayal was represented in the Allahabad High Court by senior lawyer Gopal Swaroop Chaturvedi, along with advocates Gaurav Tripathi and Raghuvansh Mishra. The court has ordered that no strict action should be taken against the cricketer until the next hearing. His lawyer, Gaurav Tripathi, confirmed that the court has granted temporary protection from arrest in the ongoing case.

Yash Dayal faces exploitation charges

Notably, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru fast bowler landed in legal trouble after an FIR was filed against him at the Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad on July 6 by a woman. The case has been registered under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deals with sexual relations through deceitful means.

The 27-year-old has been accused of sexually exploiting a woman over the last five years by allegedly promising to marry her. According to the woman’s FIR, they met several years ago, and Dayal repeatedly assured her that he would eventually marry her.

However, over time, the woman claimed that Dayal kept delaying any commitment. She also alleged that she later found out that the Indian cricketer was involved with other women while being in a relationship with her. The case is now under investigation.

Yash Dayal accuses woman of theft and fraud

Even the RCB pacer filed a complaint with the Prayagraj police, asking them to register an FIR against the woman who accused him of sexual exploitation. Yash approached the Khuldabad police station and claimed that the woman stole his iPhone and laptop.

According to reports, he met her on Instagram around four years ago. He also alleged that she took several lakhs of rupees from him, saying it was for medical treatment for herself and her family, but never returned the money. The bowler allegedly claimed that woman came close to him after he got fame in the IPL when he won the title with Gujarat Titans in 2022.
